Painting

Learning about the basics of color theory, you can learn how to paint on paper as well as a small sheet of glass (traditional Japanese style). It is exciting when your idea is gradually transformed into something tangible. Beginners are welcome.

Raku Pottery

“Raku pottery” is traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony. The surface is more porous than regular ceramics and the texture is rougher and softer. “Raku” means “ease” and “enjoyment.” Just using your hands, you form a traditional tea cup. It is the ultimate way to enjoy the elasticity and earthiness of clay.

“Kintsugi” is the traditional Japanese art of fixing broken pottery with lacquer resin and gold. You learn how to repair and beautify your favorite potteries, and at the same time, making them whole again teaches you how to renew your past. Kintsugi expert Yoshiko Kuge can also repair your family heirloom. Please call or drop by.
